Parkinson’s Treatment Solution
People who have tremors, slow movements, fear of falling and a soft voice that means trouble being heard or understood exhibit some of the signs of Parkinson’s Disease (PD)—symptoms that pose significant challenges not only for people with the disease, but for their family members and caregivers as well.
Advanced Physical Therapy of Central Florida offers comprehensive Parkinson’s Solutions that are individualized to each patient and developed from cutting edge, research based LSVT BIG® and LSVT LOUD® protocols. No matter what our Parkinson’s patients need, we are here to help improve their quality of life.
The focus of our Parkinson’s Solutions is to retrain our patient’s brain to encourage faster and larger movements through a series of activities that over-exaggerate motion and increase voice volume. We will do a thorough evaluation and develop an individualized treatment program just for you. The customized Parkinson’s Solution will include sessions lasting 30 to 60 minutes and are scheduled 4 times a week for 4 consecutive weeks. Our patients work with a physical therapist one-on-one and learn to unlock the body’s natural hidden movement patterns. Parkinson’s patients at Advanced Physical Therapy also have the opportunity to join a Rock Steady Boxing Class to reinforce the movement patterns they learn in physical therapy. The Parkinson’s Solutions at Advanced Physical Therapy of Central Florida are life changing!
Our Parkinson’s treatment solution is typically covered by your health insurance. We participate with most insurance plans and accept personal injury protection auto insurance and attorney letters of protection. The cost of each session varies on your insurance plan. If you are uninsured or have a high deductible insurance plan, we have affordable payment plans for as low as $25 per week.
